The trailer and poster for Dear John has debuted. I have to say I think it looks really good and I’m a sucker for Nicholas Sparks movies so I’m dying to see it. Amanda looks absolutely stunning (some of her close-ups are nothing short of breathtaking) and it’s filmed in some of my favorite locations; Charleston and Edisto Beach, SC, so needless to say February 5th, 2010 can’t come soon enough. Enjoy the screencaps and watch the trailer below the break.
A romantic drama about a soldier who falls for a conservative college student while he’s home on leave.
Dear John now has an official release date set for February 5, 2010! Also there is the first still available which features Amanda as Savannah and Channing Tatum as John.
A soldier home on leave falls for a conservative college girl. Instead of returning home to her, he reenlists after the attacks on September 11th, 2001. Time and distance begin to take a toll on the young lovers.
Sucker Punch is still being strongly rumored for Amanda, but there is still no official casting announcement despite that Zac Snyder has said in many Watchmen press junkets that he’s eying Amanda.
According to Wikipedia (which is not the most reliable source so take it with a grain of salt) Boogie Woogie the upcoming comedy film set in London with Amanda is set to be released in May 2009. Keep in mind this is not a fact, but rumor, but there has been no status update for a while despite it’s completion.
Jennifer’s Body, which is the Diablo Cody and Megan Fox project is in post-production and still set for September 18, 2009. The first still of Megan recently released and can be viewed here.
Big Love currently has one final episode left in season three which airs this Sunday, March 23rd. And it was confirmed last month that season four is a go.
Finally Amanda was currently filming the dramatic thriller Chloe in Canada. As you have no doubt heard by now her lead co-star Liam Neeson’s wife, Natasha Richardson, has passed away after a skiing accident in Montreal. Neeson immediately left filming to be with her at the hospital. As you can no doubt imagine the terrible loss for Mr. Neeson and family the filming of this movie seems trivial at this time. We wish to extend our deepest condolences to the family, friends and fans of Natasha Richardson.
Courtesy of Simply Streep, check out this clip from the Golden Globes. Amanda is seen cheering on Meryl Streep! Sadly Mamma Mia! didn’t win in any of it’s categories, but looks like Amanda had fun nonetheless!
