For those of you that do not already know or simply forgot, Red Riding Hood will be released on dvd and Blu-Ray this Tuesday!

Red Riding Hood (2011, Warner, PG-13, $29) — With this supernatural romance/horror movie/who-dun-it, “Twilight” director Catherine Hardwicke might have bitten off more than she could chew. Otherworldly Amanda Seyfried is perfectly cast as a medieval maiden who, in addition to being torn between two suitors (Max Irons, Shiloh Fernandez), is being menaced by a talking werewolf whose true identity is a mystery. The romance works well enough but as soon as Gary Oldman shows up as a werewolf-hunter, the film takes a turn for the hammy, and the plot machinations grow increasingly silly. Extras: commentary by cast and crew, gag reel, music videos, alt ending and audition tapes.

Andrew Niccol’s upcoming film starring Amanda Seyfried and Justin Timberlake was originally titled the clunky I’m.mortal, it was then titled Now, which would have been an impossible title to Google search without adding a ton of additional search terms.

The 20th Century Fox feature has been given the still rather ambiguous title of In Time as it tells the Logan’s Run-esque story of a society in which aging stops at the age of 25 and the rich are immortal, while the rest struggle to stay alive.

When a rebel (Timberlake) from the ghetto is falsely accused of murdering a wealthy man for his time, he is forced to go on the run with beautiful hostage (Seyfried). Together, this duo rages against the system, living minute to minute. They discover that love is more powerful than all the time in the world.

The film is due on October 28 of this year and co-stars Cillian Murphy, Olivia Wilde and Bella Heathcote.

According to Variety, Amanda Seyfried is set to star in the indie comedy “Gently Down the Stream” (a.k.a. “The Big Wedding” overseas). She will be joining Robert DeNiro, Diane Keaton, and Katherine Heigl. The film, directed and written by Justin Zackham (writer for “The Bucket List”), follows the story of a long-divorced couple (DeNiro and Keaton) who pretend they are still married for the sake of appeasing the biological mother of their adopted son at his wedding. No details yet on what role Seyfried will portray.

Seyfried recently wrapped up filming Andrew Niccol’s sci-fi drama “Now” and is currently filming Heitor Dhalia’s thriller “Gone.”

Production for “Gently Down the Stream” is scheduled to begin this July in Greenwich, Connecticut.
