Allentown native and Allen High grad Amanda Seyfried may have an upcoming project with John Cusack with director Patrick Alessandrin.

Sources have seen Alessandrin up in Boston, preparing to shoot his next picture “The Bullet,” which has Seyfried and Cusack attached to it.

The director will be in the area in April, according to www.beantown.name.

According to the site, the plot revolves around “a man only known as “The Clockmaker” who devises the ultimate plot of revenge against a seemingly random group of people by manipulating them to kill one another.”

Seyfried can be seen next in “Red Riding Hood” which opens March 11, is currently filming the thriller “Gone” and has the film “Now” with Justin Timberlake coming out Oct. 28.

Amanda is HOT right now and she is set to star in another film by Summit Entertainment. This one sound really interested, it’s a thriller named Gone. Here is more info about the movie.

Another new project has been unveiled at the European Film Market in Berlin: Amanda Seyfried thriller Gone, from Summit Entertainment, Lakeshore Entertainment and Sidney Kimmel.

Summit has scooped up domestic distribution to the project. Lakeshore and Nick Meyer’s Sierra Pictures/Affinity will now begin selling the project to foreign buyers in Berlin. Buzzed-about Brazilian filmmaker Heitor Dhalia begins lensing Gone in April from a script by Allison Burnett. Hollywood has been wanting to get into business with Dhalia, who makes his English-language debut with Gone.

The thriller revolves around a young woman named Jill (Seyfried) who returns home from her night shift to find her sister’s bed empty. She’s convinced the serial killer who kidnapped her two years before has come back to finish the job. But the police do not believe Jill, who knows time is running out. With no one to turn to, she sets off to find her sister and face her abductor once and for all.

Lakeshore’s Tom Rosenberg and Gary Lucchesi are producing the thriller alongside Sidney Kimmel, Chris Salvaterra and Dan Abrams. Gone reunites Seyfried and Summit for the third time after Dear John and Letters to Juliet.

“We are very excited to be distributing this film and working once again with both Lakeshore and Amanda,” said Summit co-chair Rob Friedman, adding it is the first time the company has partnered with Sidney Kimmel.

Rosenberg said Seyfried is the “perfect actress to play the smart and fearless heroine in Gone.” Seyfried is next in theaters in Catherine Hardwicke’s Red Riding Hood, which opens March 11, followed by Andrew Niccol’s Now in October. Seyfried is repped by Innovative Artists. Dhalia is repped by WME, and Burnett, the Gersh Agency.

Looks like we might have a new film for Amanda! As always, consider this as just a rumor until we get official confirmation!

Unless you’re a die hard Scott Pilgrim vs. the World fan, the name Mark Webber may not sound familiar — but it soon will. The indie actor wrote, directed, and stars in an untitled film about a struggling single father who is trying to raise his two year old son in the wake of the child’s mother’s death. The movie mirrors Webber’s own life, and he cast his own two-year-old as his son in the movie.

Michael Cera, Jason Ritter, Shannyon Sossamon and Amanda Seyfried either co-star or cameo as “heightened versions of themselves.” The movie is being shot for well under a million dollars and has virtually no crew — just a director of photography and a sound person. Webber is producing the film through his company Poor Rich Kids. Read what Webber had to say about the project after the jump.

The actress shoots a special appearance for the HBO hit’s last episode.

Amanda Seyfried has established herself as a movie leading lady but she will be making her small screen return for the final episode of the Big Love‘s five-season run.

For four seasons, Seyfried played Sarah, the eldest daughter of polygamist Bill (Bill Paxton) and Barb (Jeanne Tripplehorn). At the end of season four, her character ran off with her husband Scott Quittman.

Breaking Bad’s Aaron Paul will also return for the finale to reprise his role as Quittman.

“Both Amanda and Paul really wanted to be a part of the last episode, even though they were both shooting movies,” co-creator Will Scheffer told TV Guide.

The episode was shot in mid-December and will air in March.

His partner Mark Olsen added, “It was special. Literally and figuratively it was a family getting back together.”

Season five is set to premiere January 16.

The quoted plot details above come from a new casting notice that I was forwarded. As well as containing lots of character breakdowns for minor parts, which between them contain a nice smattering of spoiler information, the notice also reveals that the key role of Helen has gone to Mia Wasikowska. Previously, it was believed that Amanda Seyfried had won the role but the last we’d formally heard about that was very early in the year.

Big Love‘s upcoming fifth season will also be its final one, and while I’ll miss the Henricksons, this is definitely the right time to bring the series to a close. While its high points are still some of the best moments I’ve ever seen on television, its low points were more and more frequent, and the stories were getting repetitive. Plus I’ll miss Sarah.

Big Love sometimes struggled to figure out which story it was telling. It started as sort of an allegory for gay marriage, then pushed towards a family drama, but then flailed while searching for its true sustaining narrative. The store? The casino? Politics? The compound? Roman? Ana? Fundamentalism?

The various plots drained each other: every time we switched from some crazy thing on the compound — um, a genetics lab? — to something back in typical society — Sarah getting married at 19? — they just didn’t click together. After a certain point, everything was a crisis, but nothing really felt urgent. Oh no, they’re going to be exposed as polygamists! Wait, that happened every season.

And yet. “Come Ye Saints” is still at the top of my “shows I’d put in a time capsule” list, and the third season in general gave us scene after scene of high stakes that felt earned. The acting on the show, particularly from Jeanne Tripplehorn, Chloë Sevigny, Ginnifer Goodwin, and Amanda Seyfried, is untouchable, and when the show focuses on the nuclear Henrickson family (Bill, Barb, Nikki, Margene, and their kids), it’s a gorgeous story about what we do for and what we do because of the people we love — the good acts, and the awful ones.

Clé de Peau Beauté is our go-to brand for the most luxurious concealer or shall we say “eraser,” so we’re thrilled to learn they’ve chosen Amanda Seyfried and her flawless complexion to represent their cosmetics and skincare lines.

You’ll see the blonde beauty in the brand’s Spring 2011 ad campaign, shot by photographer David Sims and made up by Clé de Peau Beauté Color Creator Lucia Pieroni.

“Amanda’s radiance and sophisticated style are the perfect embodiment of Clé de Peau Beauté. Her beautiful persona and her commitment to giving back exemplify the Clé de Peau Beauté ideal and we are thrilled to have her representing our brand,” said Yoshiaki Okabe, general manager of Clé de Peau Beauté.

Seyfried, who is widely known for her role on the HBO series “Big Love” and big screen hits “Dear John” and “Letters to Juliet” is pretty pleased with the collaboration herself.

“I have long admired Clé de Peau Beauté. As the new spokesperson for the brand, it was very important to me that the collaboration be an authentic one,” she said. “I appreciate Clé de Peau Beauté’s philosophy of empowering each woman to define her own unique sense of style. It’s a very sophisticated approach to beauty that I appreciate and I feel closely reflects my own beauty ideals.”

We’re looking forward to Seyfried’s beauty campaign and hopefully some new complexion perfectors this spring!

Rumors are now flying around that Amanda, along with Leonardo DiCaprio and Tobey Macguire, will be starring in The Great Gatsby remake. Please consider this as just a rumor until we get confirmation.

We haven’t heard much about the upcoming adaptation of F. Scott Fitzgerald’s beloved classic, The Great Gatsby. In fact, we haven’t heard anything about the project since we reported on the news that director Baz Luhrmann (Moulin Rouge) had bought the rights to the novel in 2008. Now, Production Weekly has announced some exciting casting rumors via their twitter feed. The rumors are that Leonardo DiCaprio is up for the role of Jay Gatsby, Tobey Maguire for Nick Carraway, and Amanda Seyfried for Daisy Buchanan. There is no mention of Luhrmann directing, but I’m going to assume that he still owns the rights and will be helming the film.

F. Scott Fitzgerald’s novel continues to be mandatory school reading (I read it in 8th grade) for a good reason. The book’s tragic story of two wealthy aristocrats (DiCaprio and Seyfried), their next door neighbor (Maguire), and their doomed love affair during the early 1920s continues to be poignant more than 80 years later after it’s first publication in 1925. It’s easy to see why Luhrmann would be interested in adapting the story for a modern generation that continues to be fascinated by fame and wealth.. The trio of actors are, in my opinion, very solid choices and I look forward to seeing how Luhrmann will choose to tackle the novel.
