Amanda Denies Break-Up
Filed in News & Gossip by Mikaela June 3, 2010

Amanda Seyfried turns up not ending her romance with her “Mamma Mia!” co-star Dominic Cooper. During a recent interview with Heat magazine, the 24-year-old actress said, “No. It’s not that at all,” when asked if there is “trouble in paradise”.

Seyfried further asked fans not to read too much comments she made in a Teen Vogue magazine interview. She, at that time, sparked speculations that she wasn’t sure about her future with Cooper as she revealed, “I don’t know if Dominic’s ‘The One’.”

During the interview, Seyfried also admitted that she had waited for a year-and-a-half until Cooper was ready for a relationship with her. “I waited around. I was pretty desperate for a while, to get this guy, and it finally happened,” she confessed.

Seyfried Competing for Role in P.T. Anderson’s Next Film
Filed in Movies & TV, News & Gossip by Mikaela June 3, 2010

More details on the potential cast for Paul Thomas Anderson’s forthcoming untitled Scientology drama are surfacing as it gears up for a shoot this summer. Last week we reported that Reese Witherspoon had been offered the role of the Master’s wife Mary-Sue, who acts as his caretaker and vigilant lieutenant. This week, the print edition of Production Weekly reveals that Amanda Seyfried, Emma Stone and Deborah Ann Woll are all being considered for the role of Elizabeth, The Master and Mary-Sue’s daughter.

We reviewed the script for the film that was floating around earlier this year and while the role of the daughter is a small one (though that could’ve changed), it also does have some pretty salacious bits (that we won’t spoil here) which will be an eye opener for any fans of the actress who lands the role.

So who will land it? It’s hard to say. Seyfried seems like least likely candidate only because she is set to shoot Catherine Hardwicke’s “Girl With The Riding Hood” this summer and depending on when Anderson’s film goes in front of cameras, scheduling alone could take her out of the running.

Amanda Seyfried About her Relationship with Dominic
Filed in News & Gossip by Mikaela June 1, 2010

Actress Amanda Seyfried admits she was ”desperate” for Dominic Cooper to fall in love with her when they first met.

The ‘Mamma Mia!’ actress has denied rumours she and her co-star have split up, but admits her feelings for the British hunk have always been much stronger than his are for her.

She said: “I waited around. I was pretty desperate for a while. It was about three years ago, and the desperation lasted for 18 months. I waited and waited while he figured his s**t out. It was meant to be, it was meant to happen, and I was meant to wait for him. At the time it’s hard and you don’t know if what you’re doing is right or wrong; that’ll come out later in life.

“If I have strong feelings for someone, I’m going to tell them immediately and they can do what they want with it. Thankfully, it’s usually been mutual in my life, but this relationship wasn’t mutual for a while.”

Although Amanda claims she and Dominic are happy and settled in their relationship, the blonde beauty admits they have split up before.

She added to heat magazine: “I walked away a couple of times, then I walked right back!

“We’re flippant and serious. In my first two relationships, I didn’t have that balance at all. In my recent relationship, we have the perfect balance. We can go deep into thought and analyse things together, but then we can also be silly. That’s what I love about Dominic – he can be so light and willing to give and take, and change. It’s a wonderful thing when you have that balance, and when you don’t have it something is missing.”

Seyfried’s Mother Forces Her To Answer Fan Mail
Filed in News & Gossip by Mikaela May 31, 2010

Amanda Seyfried personally responds to most of her fan mail – because her mother forces her to write replies.

The Mamma Mia! star’s mum, Ann, has taken charge of her daughter’s post bag since she shot to fame at the age of 18, and makes sure the actress takes the time to answer letters from fans.

Seyfried says, “Whenever I’m at home, she sits me down and makes me reply to fans. She gets really excited and says, ‘You got 14 pieces of mail today!’ She goes through all my mail, she’s very efficient. It feels like team homework because she gives me stuff to sign and then she Fed-Exes it out. She loves it.”

Seyfried Frontrunner For New Hardwicke Film?
Filed in Movies & TV, News & Gossip by Mycah February 18, 2010

Catherine Hardwicke (Twilight) is next on board The Girl With the Red Riding Hood, a new werewolf movie written by David Johnson (Orphan). The gothic retelling of the “Little Red Riding Hood” story with a teenage love triangle at its center might have found its lead as the LA Times is reporting that Amanda Seyfried is a potential frontrunner.

According to the Times, Warner Bros. needs to go into production soon if they’re going to keep Hardwicke onboard so they are likely to announce some casting soon.

Keep in mind this is just talk at this point. I’ll keep you posted.

Amanda Seyfried Ashamed Of Megan Fox Kiss
Filed in "Jennifer's Body", News & Gossip by Mycah October 24, 2009

Amanda Seyfried didn’t want her mother to see her kiss Megan Fox.

The blonde star was mortified when her parents insisted on watching Jennifer’s Body, in which Amanda and Megan share a steamy encounter.

She said: “My mom and dad have just seen a film of mine with nudity. My mom saw me have sex with two different types of people on screen. She knows it’s acting but it’s not necessarily OK with me.

“It was difficult when my mom sat down with me to watch Jennifer’s Body.”

Moviefone’s 25 Hottest Stars Under 25
Filed in News & Gossip by Mycah September 18, 2009

Amanda is featured in Moviefone‘s 25 Hottest list.

Amanda Seyfried
Age: 23
Years on List: 2008, 2009
What She’s Done: The TV-turned-movie star appeared in small films like Alpha Dog and Nine Lives before breaking out in sing-a-long fashion opposite Meryl Streep in Mamma Mia!

What’s Next: This month she’s good girl to Megan Fox’s evil bloodsucker in the horror flick Jennifer’s Body. Then she has the Atom Egoyan-helmed Chloe, plus 2010′s Dear John (based on a novel by Nicholas Sparks), a film version of beloved comic-strip Marmaduke, and Letters to Juliet, opposite Gael García Bernal.

Industry Buzz: “She has goody-goody good looks that can turn vampy and threatening and erotic on a dime. She can play seductress one minute, and as she does in Jennifer’s Body, vulnerable nerd the next. Oh, and as she proved in Mamma Mia! she can sing and dance as well. A ceiling for this 24-year-old doesn’t exist.”
