On a particularly nasty, nearly rainy, ever-windy Sunday night, the red carpet that had been placed at the entrance of the Hippodrome for the premiere of the Lowcountry-shot film Dear John was empty. Instead, Channing Tatum and Amanda Seyfried were busy meeting fans far away from the carpet. They almost didn’t make it back.
Girls were practically tearing their hair out of their heads for an opportunity to take a picture with Tatum (G.I. Joe, Step Up) and Seyfried (Mamma Mia!, Big Love). Tatum wore “just Gucci” while Seyfried was super sweet (and tiny) in a red Stella McCartney dress and stacked silver pumps, which she promptly changed out of after posing for the press. Both talked of loving Charleston (duh) and buying houses here (insert excited squeal here), and Seyfried casually mentioned she had visited her future house and neighbor (whom she loves) already that day. “Charleston and St. Louis are two of the best places in the world,” she gushed.
Finally found one image of Amanda Seyfried at the Charleston, SC premiere. I wish more would turn up because she looks so pretty in the red dress.
The stars walked the red carpet past hundreds of screaming fans, signing autographs and posing for photos. Seyfried appeared in a red strapless Stella McCartney dress and Brian Atwood pumps.
The star-studded event was a fundraiser for Carolina Autism, a local nonprofit that provides services to children and adults with autism. Ticket holders received a private screening of the film and the opportunity to mingle with the actors at a party afterward at the S.C. Aquarium. The premiere was open to the public but tickets costed $250. However 100% of the proceeds went to the charity.
“It’s real, as real as it can be without being an actual true story,” she said. “How could you not fall in love with these characters? The story of a love that is so pure and endearing. – Amanda Seyfried
Seyfried, who volunteers with nonprofit organizations in Los Angeles, including Autism Speaks, said she was happy and honored to be a part of the local fundraiser.
Amanda was in Fort Bragg, North Carolina for the world premiere of Dear John on Saturday. Fans were allowed a meet and greet prior to a screening of the film. I found a couple of photos of her and added to the gallery. Last night was also the Charleston, SC premiere (where the movie was filmed) but I have not been able to find any photos as these were such small events. There will be a big L.A. premiere soon as well. Ah, I still can’t believe Amanda was in my state so close and I was unable to go!
“Everybody is really really grateful. The energy here is amazing. It’s the most incredible welcome that I’ve ever had.”
She wore a short turquoise cocktail dress and let her long wavy hair hang down. She was taken aback, she said, by getting a chance to meet the people who are experiencing what her character, Savannah, went through in the film.
“It’s real life. I have the deepest appreciation for what they do. These men and women risk their lives and their loved ones can only just really wait until they get to see them again. It’s a big sacrifice.”
“This is the coolest thing ever. This is real life and everybody here is so awesome and special. This is the best of part of the job to meet everybody. This is awesome to be here and just thank you. I hope you guys enjoy what we have for you here tonight.” – Amanda Seyfried
I uploaded these a few days ago but I must have forgot to actually add them to the gallery for public viewing, so without further ados, pictures of Amanda looking oh-so-gorgeous at HBO’s Post Golden Globe Awards Party. She’s wearing a black and beige Valentino Fall 2009 Couture dress and Valentino Couture nude petal detailed peep-toe booties.
Big Love was victorious in one of its three categories, Chloë Sevigny won Best Performance by an Actress in a Supporting Role in a Series, Mini-Series or Motion Picture Made for Television. Meanwhile, Big Love lost to Mad Men and Michael C. Hall from Dexter won over Bill Paxton in their respective categories.
On January 11th Amanda and her Dear John co-star Channing Tatum attended at the press conference for the upcoming movie, Dear John. Amanda looks so stunning and natural, I love her look. For now I have only added mq’s to the gallery, but hopefully we will find some more images soon. Also we’re now listed on TheFanCarpet directory.
On November 18th, Amanda attened at the 14th Annual GQ “Men Of The Year” Party and she looked so amazing! Love her outfit, her look, everything, it’s beautiful, don’t you think? I have added images from the event to the gallery, you can view them here.
Amanda Seyfried was in London for the The Times BFI London Film Festival premiere of Chloe on Thursday. She attended the gala screening, a press conference and photocall all in one day. I’ve added pictures from all of the events to the gallery.
At the photocall and wore a cerulean blue Helmut Lang dress with the cowl neck and asymmetrical hem line. Nude Brian Atwood slingback pumps completed the look.
For the premiere she wore a Stella McCartney Resort 2010 blue and silver beaded dress paired with black platform heels.
